Mary Frye
Mary Frye（全名Mary Elizabeth Frye 1905年11月13日 - 2004年9月15日）被認為是口傳詩"Do not stand at my grave and weep"的作者。
1905年11月13日，出生於美國俄亥俄州。3歲成為孤兒，12歲移居馬里蘭州。
1927年，與經營服飾業的Claud Frye結婚。在家育兒並從事賣花。
1932年，住在一起朋友 Margaret Schwarzkopf 母親去世，寫了"do not stand at my grave and weep" 之詩（但是，該詩是否完全由Mary Frye獨創，關於它的起源，也有種種說法）
此後廣為流傳。在日本則被譯為「千の風（千之風）」、「千の風になって（化為千縷風）而被介紹。尤其是「千の風になって（化為千縷風），在2006年由秋川雅史發行單曲之後，成為熱門的話題。
Mary Frye於2004年9月15日、去世，享年98歳。
